How’s My Driving? - Safe Driving Blog Tips
As a Social Enterprise company we reinvest any profit from our sticker scheme back into National road safety projects. This we are celebrating our 21st Birthday and to commemorate this special occasion, a Road Safety Steering Group has been created to allocate funding to the public to turn their innovative ideas into viable safety projects.
The committee consists of logistic industry experts who are volunteering for a twelve-month tenure of service, enabling all client companies who wish to be involved an opportunity to serve. The purpose of the steering group is to drive forward road safety culture by supporting ideas from members of the public who wish to improve road safety in their community. In previous years, the grants have supported countrywide walking school buses, road safety youth film projects, as well as a touring play delivering a hard-hitting message to young adults about the perils of drinking and driving.
Subash Ludhra, former president of IOSH and current chairman of the steering committee, said: “It’s important that the group focuses its efforts on using the grants for educational purposes, enabling the money to have a positive impact on local communities as well as the wider road safety sector.”
The steering group are encouraging road safety teams, schools, individuals and not-for-profit groups to put forward their ideas and apply for funding. Visit the project page for more information on our previous ventures or to apply for the road safety grant email: info@howsmy.co.uk
